Adrian Gilby and Melanie Haynes are graduates of The University of Kansas School of Law. Prior to opening their own law practice in Johnson County, both were law enforcement officers.
After serving two tours with the United States Army in Europe and having been honorably discharged as a non-commissioned officer, Adrian worked for nearly ten years at the Johnson County District Attorney's Office. As a former chief prosecutor, he not only works diligently to put his extensive expertise to work for his clients, but he also acts as an instructor to inform other attorneys about updates to Kansas laws. He was the honor graduate of his class at the Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Training Center and formerly served as a member of the Charlottesville, Virginia Police Department.
Melanie worked for five years as a Sheriff's Deputy for the Johnson County Sheriff's Department before attending the University of Kansas School of Law. She graduated from law school in two years and worked as a prosecutor for the Johnson County District Attorney's Office. Melanie serves as a pro tem Judge when needed at the Johnson County District Courthouse as well as for municipalities in Johnson County.
Having worked in so many varied capacities within the criminal justice system, coupled with over twenty years of practical experience, Adrian and Melanie are formidable counselors and advocates for their clients.
